What Is Ohara Corporation?

Ohara Corporation manufactures over 170 precision optical glass types, which include UV transmitting i-Line glass and Radiation Resistant glass. Materials can be supplied as raw Strip/Slab material or in other various value added forms such as Cut Blanks, Pressings, Large Molded Blanks, High Homogeneity Blanks, Fine Gobs, Polished Ball Lenses, and Polished Plano-Plano Substrates (excellent flatness/low surface roughness). Ohara also provides a host of other optical materials including glass ceramic substrates (WMS-15 & LICGCâ„¢), Fused Silica (standard and excimer grade), quartz, CaF2, BaF2, MgF2, Ge, ZnSe, ZnS, Sapphire, Silicon, other UV & IR materials, Ohara ClearCeram-Z ultralow expansion glass (excellent CTE uniformity; large sizes), and NANOCERAM. Precision Index and Tranmission Measurement Services can also be provided.
