What Is Official Black Wall Street?

Official Black Wall Street is the largest next generation digital platform and app that tackles the economic inequalities in the entrepreneurial world for African Americans through cooperative economics. With over 5,000 black-owned businesses currently listed in 10 different countries around the world, and growing, Official Black Wall Street helps consumers of all backgrounds find and support businesses owned by black entrepreneurs with ease. Black business owners are able to create a listing for their business for more exposure and advertise within the app, while consumers use the app to search, review, and patronize black businesses. Why? Studies show that although African Americans launch businesses at a higher rate than others, they have lower revenues, receive less funding opportunities, and are denied loans at a higher rate than other equally qualified entrepreneurs, thus making growth and scaling an uphill battle. Studies also show that the local economy in black communities are far behind our counterparts. Although a dollar circulates for 20 days and a month in Jewish and Asian communities, respectively, it circulates for only 6 hours in black communities. We combine technology and social impact to make it easier for consumers to find & support small black businesses that may not have the means to compete with today’s Starbucks and Walmarts.
