Downpour Interactive was founded in North Carolina in 2015 by Dante Buckley with the goal of building an innovative first person shooter game for virtual reality platforms and the long term goal to build games that will make you think, feel, and learn new perspectives. Onward is Downpour Interactive's first game and is currently in active development and Early Access release. Onward has received critical acclaim for its immersion, combat mechanics, and realism. Currently out for Oculus and SteamVR platforms, Onward is scheduled to release on new platforms including the Oculus Quest in 2020. Downpour Interactive has grown from a one person operation to a studio with a global team and is still expanding its scope.
