GIVING CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS THEIR LIVES BACK For those who suffer from it, chronic pain can undermine happiness, peace of mind, and even the ability to accomplish simple tasks. At Nura, our mission is to give these chronic pain sufferers their lives back. Nura was founded by Dr. David Schultz, a pioneer in interventional pain management. In his work as a practicing anesthesiologist in the 1990's, Dr. Schultz realized the need to treat chronic pain patients with a more comprehensive approach, and went on to found the region's first pain management clinic. Today, our team-directed multidisciplinary approach includes medication management, physical therapy and behavioral therapy. We also provide minimally invasive interventional procedures such as nerve blocks, spinal injections and nerve ablation, as well as the full range of implantable pain control options, including spinal cord stimulation, dorsal root ganglion stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation and targeted drug delivery via intrathecal pain pump. We are considered a national leader in implantable pain control, and train visiting physicians on the latest techniques, while our focus on teamwork provides a caring, fulfilling environment for team members and patients alike.
