Vi vil være førende inden for innovative, miljørigtige og effektive løsninger og bidrage til kompetence- og vidensdeling i vores ejerkommuner.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\nWe are a waste management company established in 1978 and owned by 6 north jutlandic municipalities. Nordværk has one of Europe’s most modern incineration plants, a plant that not only meets Danish national waste strategies and the EU’s environmental stipulations, but also leads the way for the waste management in the future.\n\nThe exploitation of the waste is close to 100 per cent, and flue gas emission controls are so effective that the level of environmentally dangerous emissions are significantly below the acceptable levels.\n\nThis ensures that the plant is equipped to meet the demands of the future and able to fulfil the requirement for clean incineration of ever-larger amounts of waste.\n\nIn addition to the important environmental rewards, the utilisation of energy is unsurpassed, and the plant is able to fulfil heating and electricity requirements of several thousand households. The waste slag – which is the main residue of incineration – is cleaned and used for road building or construction.\n\nAt the landfill site in Rærup, Nordværk deals with waste which will be land filled or recycled.
