What Is National Youth Arts Wales?

Founded in 2017, National Youth Arts Wales brings together Wales’s six prestigious national youth ensembles: orchestra, dance, theatre, brass band, choir and wind orchestra. Each year, around 800 talented young people aged 16-22 benefit from world-class tuition and performance opportunities. \n\nOur training offers pathways to employment for young people from all backgrounds: not just for performers, but also young producers and backstage roles. We strengthen the Welsh creative sector, through both residencies and development programmes designed to help underrepresented communities enter the creative industries.\n\nWe bring together passionate, likeminded young people, from every local authority in Wales, developing creative skills through intensive and fun training programmes. Each programme is led by internationally acclaimed artists, producing exciting showcase performances across Wales.
