What Is NHPCHELP?
I am offering to refurbish older computers in order to give them to people across NH who are blind and in need. Here is what I am offering: I will replace defective parts in a computer with parts that I find from other “dead†computers and some odds and ends that I have gathered over the years. I will format the existing hard drive to ensure that the original data has been destroyed. I will reinstall the existing operating system from scratch or I will install a fresh copy of an open source OS. I will install and configure open source/free accessible software for the blind user. I will install and configure open source/free software to allow for productivity and enjoyment by the new owner.
