What Is My Mirror - Online Psychology?
My Mirror delivers a highly accessible, convenient and cost-effective telehealth psychology solution to all Australians, when you need it and from wherever you happen to be. Our psychology ecosystem connects the dots between you, your GP and your psychologist, to streamline the process of initiating therapy and, where possible, reduce the cost of seeking help.\n\nThe My Mirror therapeutic approach helps Australians in the 'well' population build agency and take control of their psychological resilience. This allows them to be productive and maintain positive relationships with people in their lives. Our registered psychologists also use research-based practices to provide restorative and rehabilitative psychological support to those ‘at risk’ of, or those suffering from, a ‘mild’ psychological illness.\n\nAlready, one in five (20%) of Australians, aged 16-85, experience a mental illness in any given year*. The My Mirror team see it as crucial to help those in need heal, and to prevent any further deterioration of mental health. This is true, now more than ever, in a world where uncertainty is growing and distress is becoming an increasingly significant burden on individuals, relationships, our society and the economy.\n\nOur community needs cultural stigmatic change to normalise talk-therapy and prioritise our mental wellbeing, as we do our physical wellbeing. The My Mirror team strives to enact this change by providing convenient and secure telehealth psychology, accessible from a location of your choice at a time of your choosing. This helps to break down common accessibility barriers such as geographical location, time and cost.\n\n*Black Dog Institute (2014). Facts and figures about mental health.
