What Is Mossakowski Medical Research Institute - Polish Academy of Sciences?

Mossakowski Medical Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (MMRI PAS) is the largest institute of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the only one that combines research in the field of clinical medicine and medical biology. MMRI PAS (originally operating under the name of the Center for Experimental and Clinical Medicine of the Polish Academy of Sciences) was established on July 1, 1967, by the resolution of the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and in 2017 celebrated its 50th anniversary. The Institute obtained the \A\ category in the parameterization carried out in 2017, and can also boast a number of prestigious awards granted to scientific units, including the status of the Leading National Research Center (KNOW), the ERASMUS Charter for Higher Education 2014-2020 granted by the European Commission and the HR Excellence in Research title, granted to institutions that adhere to the principles and guidelines contained in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. Since 2018, MMRI PAS has been participating in the \OCH!Dok\ project - a nationally unique interdisciplinary doctoral study program, financed by the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development (POWER). The scientific excellence of the Institute is demonstrated, among others, by participation in the project \Biological and biomedical imaging infrastructure - Bio-Imaging Poland (BIPol), entered on the Polish Map of Research Infrastructure on 02.07.2020. BIPol is a Polish research consortium implementing the Euro-BioImaging project (European Research Infrastructure for Imaging Technologies in Biological Sciences) and Biomedyczne) included in the ESFRI (European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) map.
