Modea, a rapidly growing interactive agency in Blacksburg is looking for a Director of Web Application Development to help grow our team. We work exclusively with recognizable consumer goods manufacturers and retailers to provide interactive experiences that leverage the latest trends in the social Internet to enable our clients to interact with their customers in new ways. This candidate will lead our team of talented programmers to create large scalable consumer-facing applications that will be used by millions of consumers. This candidate will scope, plan and architect applications that live two weeks to many years. The ideal candidate must have multiple years of web application programming experience in large and scalable systems and at least three years experience leading a team of developers. We pride ourselves on providing an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork in an environment that is second to none. This position is about adding structure, not about adding a layer of unneeded bureaucracy.
