What Is Miller Waste Systems?

Miller Waste Systems Inc. specializes in the collection, haulage, and disposal of waste, organic waste, and recyclables. We provide these services to municipalities, to industrial, commercial, and institutional (IC&I)customers, and for construction and demolition projects. Miller Waste has been in operation since 1961 and is a leader in waste management, providing services in the provinces of Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Manitoba. We operate out of 30 locations and have over 50 years experience; our knowledge and capabilities when it comes to waste management are unparalleled. We operate over 850 collection vehicles and employing over 1,300 personnel. We integrate into the communities we service by hiring locally, supporting community projects, working with local partners and suppliers, and understanding local needs. We often use municipal collection contracts as a springboard for growing other business lines in the community, thereby creating more jobs. Sub-divisions of Miller Waste: Miller Compost processes valuable leaf and yard waste, along with food waste from municipal and commercial sources. These organic resources are recycled and returned to the communities they come from as high quality soil amendment that enriches, rehabilitates, and feeds the soil. Triland Environmental has recently been integrated into the company as a branch of Miller Compost. Triland specializes in the production, transportation, and distribution of wood mulch and complementary products to the landscape and wholesale markets. Miller Waste Solutions Group (MWSG) provides comprehensive, 24-hour, full-service waste management solutions for high-rise residential buildings across Ontario. MWSG services include: system engineering, installation and maintenance, repairs, parts, and service, waste chute cleaning and odor control, and new bin sales and service.
