What Is McGill Environmental Systems | McGill Compost?

McGill Environmental Systems owns and operates multiple indoor, industrial-scale composting facilities in the U.S. and Ireland -- producing about 370,000 cubic yards of U.S. EPA Class A Exceptional Quality (EQ) compost annually. We also design-build-operate composting facilities for others (B2B, B2G, PPP) and license our technology. This includes package plants for sludge drying, biomass reduction and bioenergy production facilities (digestate composting). (www.mcgillcompostingtechnologies.com) We use an advanced ASP composting system to recycle a wide variety of biodegradable by-products and residuals from industrial, municipal, commercial and agricultural generators, including biosolids and other water treatment sludges, food waste, yard waste and other woody materials, dirty paper, waxed and unwaxed cardboard, cooking oil/grease and biodegradable plastics. In the U.S., our SoilBuilder compost is certified by the U.S. Composting Council's Seal of Testing Assurance (STA) program, and McGill ErosionControl compost meets STA specifications for erosion control products. We are also participants in the USCC's Consumer Use Program (CUP). McGill's premium compost products are sold in bulk to the professional market for turfgrass management, general landscaping, agriculture and environmental uses such as erosion control, biofiltration, landfill cover and stormwater management. SoilBuilder is also offered in some market areas in 1 cu. ft. bags.
