Maxi Zoo is Ireland’s largest pet retailer and part of the Fressnapf Group with over 1,600 stores across Europe. We are a specialty retailer for animal food and accessories, offering exclusive brands, extensive consultations and a large product range of over 8,000 items. Maxi Zoo acquired Equipet in November 2021 and is Ireland’s largest pet retailer with 29 stores nationwide. Maxi Zoo stores are located in Westmeath (Mullingar), Tipperary (Clonmel), Carlow, Waterford, Cork (Ballincollig, Midleton & Douglas), Dublin (Blanchardstown, Coolock, Finglas, Tallaght Arena Retail Park & Tallaght Belgard Retail Park, Liffey Valley, and Leopardstown), Kildare (Naas, Newbridge & Maynooth), Wicklow (Bray), Limerick, Louth *Dundalk), Longford, Wexford (Gorey) and Kerry (Tralee). Equipet Stores are located in Louth (Drogheda), Meath (Ashbourne & Navan) and Cork (Blackpool and Mahon Point). The company currently employs 267 staff. Maxi Zoo Ireland supports numerous local animal welfare charities and has established relations with the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, Dogs Trust and over 30 animal charities throughout Ireland Awards: Winner of TV3’s “Every Job Counts” initiative in 2011 Winner of REI Pet store of the year 2016 Maxi Zoo encourages customers to bring their pet along when shopping to avail of a free weighing service, plus a “try before you buy” policy on sized items such as collars or harnesses.
