Mahlum Architects is an architectural firm offering a broad range of architecture, planning, and interiors services from offices in Seattle and Portland. Our roots are in the Northwest, and since our founding in 1938, we've contributed some of the region's major landmarks, as well as significant public work and private sector design throughout the West coast. In that time, we've successfully completed projects from $1 million to $175 million in construction value, and won over 100 awards for design excellence. It is our mission "to create architecture that is conceptual, enduring and poetic, with visionary people to enrich the human experience." What does this mean? It means we expect a design to be organized around a simple, resonant concept; there's an overall idea that serves as the project's "glue."
