What Is Luxor Scientific?

Luxor Scientific is a specialized clinical and research laboratory located in Greenville, SC with a national service range. We offer infectious disease, microbiology, genetic, hematology, chemistry and toxicology testing.\n\nLuxor was formed in 2016 when we brought more than a century of business and laboratory leadership under our umbrella. We are owner-operators, and a combination of broadly experienced business leaders and laboratory industry experts.\n\nHaving Fortune 100 business backgrounds, we bring focus and operational excellence along with the essential ability to define objectives, build and enable teams, and hold them accountable for achieving results. Our laboratory experience and expertise ensure that we deliver innovative products and services with maximum value including especially clinical utility, cost-effectiveness, speed and reliability.\n\nWe are led scientifically by Chief Science Officer Marion Snyder, PhD, DABCC and Emily Ryan, PhD, DABCC.\n\n•\tDr. Snyder taught at Harvard Medical School and led the laboratories at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Harvard’s teaching hospital). She also oversaw laboratory operations at Greenville Hospital System (now, Prisma Health), and served as President of a national independent laboratory. Although she works full-time at Luxor Scientific, Dr. Snyder is also Adjunct Professor at Clemson University’s College of Health Sciences, where she lectures and advises students in research and graduate degree programs.\n•\tDr. Ryan taught at Emory School of Medicine, set up the CDC’s Ebola viral lab in 2014 and was Director of Genetic Testing for a national independent laboratory. Dr. Ryan now guides clinical laboratory operations and teaches at Atrium Health - Navicent in Macon, GA.\n•\tOur laboratory technical team have many years of experience working in hospital laboratories prior to joining Luxor Scientific, and we bring the same level of scientific and clinical rigor to Luxor's lab operations.
