Lowe Alpine started from humble beginnings back in 1967. At this time the Lowe brothers Greg, Mike and Jeff were travelling throughout the USA developing new routes and pioneering a revolutionary method of climbing that we now call alpine style. This fast, lightweight approach to climbing meant small, self-sufficient teams of climbers would travel fast and light, carrying only what they needed with minimal technical equipment. This required a new type of backpack, one that moved with the body and didnt feel cumbersome. Greg developed the first Expedition Pack in his Colorado work shed in 1967. It revolutionised backpack technology with many of his innovations becoming the standard for all backpacks. Further innovations followed, both in the mountains and in the workshop. The brothers developed a plethora of revolutionary climbing hardware including ice axes, belay devices, ice screws and crampons. Now distributed in over 40 countries worldwide, Lowe Alpine have continued in same spirit of the Lowe brothers for the past 50 years; constantly innovating, developing new ideas and crafting solutions to the challenge of the mountains. From base camp to summit, from the Arctic to your backyard, Lowe Alpine equipments lets you get out and focus on the experience. #ForMomentsLikeThis For more information, visit lowealpine.com
