What Is London Borough of Redbridge?

Many thanks for your interest in working at Redbridge.\n\nRedbridge is embarking upon an exciting new phase and we are looking for the very best people to help us shape our future direction and deliver the improvements we aspire to. In return you will have an opportunity to work at one of London's emerging Boroughs, joining a team who aspire to place Redbridge at the cutting edge of local government in the 21st Century and in so doing ensuring that local residents and business benefit from the very best services possible.\n\nThere is no doubt that the Borough is an exciting place to be. Crossrail arrives in 2019 and with four stations in the Borough the regeneration and growth opportunities are second to none. There is a once in a lifetime opportunity to re-imagine Ilford Town Centre and we have already secured a housing zone and TFL investment to this end. Our schools have a national reputation for excellence, and we have a brand new partnership between ourselves and health colleagues which will focus on early intervention and protection - one of the first of its kind in this country.\n\nWe are trying to move away from more traditional ways of service delivery, where the Council does things "to and for" local people, towards a model that empowers people to support themselves. There is lots of good work already underway in this area that we can build on.\n\nWe are ambitious for Redbridge and finding the right person for the right job is critical to our future success. Now is very definitely the time to be in Redbridge. If you have the right skills, capability and attitude to help us on this exciting journey, then we want to hear from you.
