What Is Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine?
Welcome to Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM). Founded in 1898, it was the first institution in the world dedicated to tropical medicine and has led the field in the fight against infectious, debilitating and disabling diseases ever since. LSTM offers a number of postgraduate programmes leading to Master, Diploma and Certificate awards, together with a variety of diplomas, certificates and shorter courses. Historically, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine has focused strongly on research and education for the medical profession, and this continues today with globally renowned courses in Tropical and Infectious Diseases. Today, we combine this expertise with teaching in Humanitarian Studies, Laboratory based Biology courses and International Public Health and cater towards a wider variety of training needs.
