Ranked as one of the top commercial litigation firms in Alabama by the 2005 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC was founded on January 15, 1990, by eight litigation partners from the largest firm in Alabama. We presently have 57 lawyers, and our current plan is to grow at a controlled pace as our practice and client needs dictate. In order to focus on what we do best, we have restricted our practice to civil litigation matters, with the exceptions of environmental compliance advice, white-collar crime and internal investigations. Although we handle all types of civil litigation in state and federal courts, our primary areas of practice include product liability, commercial disputes, antitrust, fraud, bad faith, environmental/toxic torts, professional malpractice, securities fraud, employment and communications.
