What Is Lifespan?
Lifespan, Rhode Island's largest health system, is a partnership of Rhode Island Hospital and its Hasbro Children's Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Bradley Hospital and Newport Hospital. Lifespan is the largest private employer in Rhode Island. Our headquarters is located in the Coro Building on Point Street, pictured at right. The combined expertise of Lifespan's partner hospitals has resulted in numerous benefits for the community, including the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital, and the Centers for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine. The partnership has brought state-of-the-art information technology to physicians, including a secure, Web-based portal to patient information, physician order management and an automated lab.
