In 1969, sons Howard and Marty joined the business. In 1971, Kurtis opened its first retail showroom in Detroit with the revolutionary concept of providing on-site inventory to service do-it-yourself clients and small contractors. Kurtis has grown this business model to 5 locations in southeastern Michigan, and now incorporates semi-custom cabinetry in the offering for clients.
