What Is International Union of Painters and Allied Trades?

The Painters and Allied Trades Labor Management Cooperation Initiative (P&AT LMCI) is a jointly administered Taft-Hartley fund for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, AFL-CIO, CLC (IUPAT) and contractors signatory to contracts with the IUPAT.\r\n\r\nThe P&AT LMCI fosters and promotes better labor relations between the union and its employers. The P&AT LMCI also works to enhance market share for contractors signatory to the IUPAT.\r\n\r\nTrustees who administer the fund are equally represented on the LMCI by IUPAT representatives and representatives from the Finishing Contractors Association (FCA)--an advocacy group for unionized finishing contractors.\r\n\r\nAs industry advocates, we give our contractors and members a single, unified voice on issues of mutual interest.\r\n\r\nThese issues include areas:\r\nNew markets and new technologies; Creating national agreements to capture work; Networking within the industry; Health and safety issues; Apprenticeship training; and Journey-worker continuing education and skills building.\r\n\r\nWe Finish What You Started.
