What Is Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics (IAEW)?
Chair and Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics (IAEW) is part of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of RWTH Aachen University. In a team of scientific assistants we address a wide range of projects in the industrial and public sector. The mathematical simulation, optimization and evaluation of technical and economic development and behavior of the electrical power system are the key components of our work. In particular we address questions in the electric power generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy, profit maximization, quality of supply and environmental compatibility.
