Inspiring Learning is the UK’s largest independent provider of experiential learning for schools and young people, working with 250,000 children a year from all types of schools (state and private, primary and secondary, UK and international) and youth groups who stay with us for between 3-5 days. We own and operate 10 residential centres for young people in the UK and France covering over 3,500 beds. Our purpose is to enhance the lives of young people through experiences that inspire. Whether this is learning to ski, learning to climb, or learning to work better together as a team, our purpose is to encourage children and young people to go on, learn more and be active participants in the community. We complement the work of schools and youth groups and actively partner with them to achieve their individual objectives. We are specialist and experienced. We have been running residential outdoor centres for 30 years (through a division called Kingswood) and have taken schools and groups on overseas trips for over 80 years (through a division called Equity). We partner with educators at both a local and a national level. For example, we operate the government’s First World War Centenary Battlefield Tours Programme (12,000 people over five years), in partnership with Institute of Education, and are one of the largest providers of National Citizenship Services (6,000 young people per annum). We have also worked with Local Authorities to ensure the continuity and expansion of service provision on former Local Authority sites (Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Liverpool City Council, Gateshead Council, Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council).
