We're matchmakers. The Humane Society for Southwest Washington is in the business of bringing together people and animals. We complete families with 4,000 animals annually. We are in service to our community by being its primary resource for companion animals. We care for more than 8,000 animals every year. We are the shelter for Southwest Washington. We unite families with lost pets, foster animals too young for the shelter, and provide support and training to animals working to overcome medical or behavioral challenges. We are leaders in Southwest Washington. We We help families who struggle with providing for their dogs and cats when financial worries and health concerns become overwhelming. Every year, we support low-income families with more than 1,500 surgeries and 18,000 pounds of pet food annually. We provide emergency boarding services for families fleeing domestic violence, facing emergency medical concerns and other issues that prevent them from from caring for their pet. We proudly operate ReTails Thrift Store, Clark County's premier thrifting experience. ReTails boasts a broad selection of housewares, clothes, decor, books and more. The proceeds from every sale helps the dogs and cats in our care. We are committed to excellence in our community. We advocate for animals by searching for best practices, community partnerships, providing education and constantly striving to do better. We are dedicated volunteers, staff and donors who respect each other and love the animals in our care.
