What Is Holy Innocents' Episcopal School?

Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is a fully-accredited, coed, college-preparatory day school. HIES comprises the Pre-School (Early Leaners through Kindergarten), the Lower School (Pre-First through fifth grade), the Middle School and the Upper School. Academic expectations are rigorous. Therefore, to achieve a sense of balance in our students' scholastic journeys, a commitment to the arts is strong and physical education and athletics are emphasized as important components of each student's development. The faculty is dedicated to encourage students to excel and be self-motivated. HIES students learn through creative, imaginative and inventive instruction that teaches them to communicate effectively and think critically. Our school's goal is to provide an atmosphere in which all students are encouraged to reach their potential and take their place as involved and responsible citizens. HIES has a full range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses for students who are prepared to accept a challenging academic workload in order to help them get a head start on their college studies. Upper School students must complete a minimum of 40 community service hours to graduate. As an Episcopal school, HIES is both comprehensive and inclusive. The diversity of religious beliefs, races, creeds and cultures is highly valued. Download our Academic Profile , Curriculum Guide, and Summer Reading Lists. And visit our Campus Life pages, where you will find descriptions of the many ways we support our students at Holy Innocents'.
