What Is Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson?

The year was 1978, the name was Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson and the driving force behind the operation belonged to Chuck and Mary Cox. They were motorcycle enthusiasts and although Harley-Davidson was AMF Harley-Davidson at the time, a product not well received by the riding community, they stuck by the product and the name to build a legacy. By 1990, their second full service dealership, Southside Harley-Davidson, opened its doors on Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach, VA. Business was booming and just one year later Harley Haven, a clothing and collectible store opened on the oceanfront Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach. Good times, great customers and a support system like no other allowed each store to thrive and grow into a successful conglomerate. Tragedy struck the family that is Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson in 1996 with the loss of Chuck Cox. For anyone who knew Chuck he was a phenomenal person. He was an inspiration as a businessman, a dedicated husband, father, brother and friend. He is missed everyday. Mary continued on her journey to success by maintaining ownership and expanding the corporation in 1999 with the addition of Revolutionary Harley-Davidson in Williamsburg, VA and Virginia Beach Harley-Davidson on another section of the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, VA in 2006. These five dealerships and the staff that resides within them are more than a corporation, they are family. They have made it their mission to provide each and every customer with the highest level of quality and customer service that can be provided. The consistency of the customer service and the many long-standing relationships built over the years is further indication that Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson, Inc. is YOUR legendary Harley dealer.
