Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) serves Hampshire’s 1.7 million population. Our 1500 firefighters, based at our 51 stations throughout the county, attend more than 14,000 incidents per year and have secured a national reputation for service delivery.\r\n\r\nOur main areas of focus are:\r\nPrevention - Against incidents occurring in the first place by working with the community\r\nProtection – Assisting partners and businesses to reduce the chances of an incident harming people where they live, work and play \r\nResponse – Dispatch emergency response to lessen the impact of the event on people or places and attempt to restore normality as soon as possible.\r\n\r\nWe also employ 300 non-operational professionals working behind the scenes to deliver support services in many other capacities including: IT, communications, procurement and finance.
