What Is Guru Studio?

Guru designs, develops, produces and distributes high quality animated entertainment and amusements for kids and families around the world. Guru is currently in production with two Netflix Originals series developed in-house, Justin Time and True and the Rainbow Kingdom. Now in its third season, award-winning preschool show Justin Time airs on Family Jr. in Canada and will launch globally (on Netflix) in 130 countries in the summer of 2016. New show True and the Rainbow Kingdom, set to air on TVO in Canada (and around the world on Netflix), will be introduced in 2017. Guru also has proven success as a trusted production partner, having brought to life blockbuster shows such as #1 US preschool smash-hit and consumer products phenomenon, Paw Patrol, in collaboration with Spinmaster and Nick Jr.; the BAFTA-nominated international co-production Dinopaws for Treehouse and BBC; and Mattel's Netflix Original Series, Ever After High. Guru is also involved in the production of the highly anticipated animated feature The Breadwinner, based on the award winning novel by Deborah Ellis. Founded in 2000, the studio is located in the premiere creative high-tech hub in downtown Toronto and employs over 300 people.
