Who We Are Group is much more than a publisher of ministry resources for Christian churches. Sure, we make an abundance of products for Sunday school, VBS, children's ministry, youth ministry, and more. But what we really offer are experiences that grow your relationship with Jesus. Whether it's a Bible lesson, kids' craft, or teen mission trip, everything Group does revolves around getting closer to God. If there's one thing you need to know about us, it's that we're enthusiastic about church ministry. Our team is made up of world-renowned ministry experts who spend their everyday lives in the trenches of real church ministry. We love this stuff, and we want nothing more than to help you be successful in your ministry. What We Do Being based at the foot of the Colorado Rocky Mountains gives us a constant, majestic reminder of God's love and power in our lives. We use that inspiration to create resources for ministry to women, men, families, small groups, pastors, worship leaders, and even administrators. We also have a wealth of resources for those who lead ministry volunteers (which is just about everybody). You'll find books, curriculum, magazines, websites, DVDs, CDs, kits, events, online training, and so much more here at Group. If your church does it, Group can probably help. (A lot.) Our Story In 1974 Thom Schultz had a mustache. (More like a cop-stache.) He also had a dream-to give church youth workers better tools to help teens grow closer to God. So with a typewriter in a spare room (and just a few hundred bucks in savings), he started GROUP Magazine. It wasn't long before Group became synonymous with youth ministry. And it also wasn't long before Group decided to venture into new territory: children's ministry. After introducing innovative Sunday school and VBS programs and Children's Ministry Magazine to the church world, Group also quickly became the leader in what's now commonly called "kid min." Nowadays we spend our time supporting ministry leaders in every way we can.
