Welcome to the Griffith Business School Research Blog from the Office of the Dean (Research) at Griffith University, Queensland. Our researchers are Australia’s leading business research specialists who operate in interdisciplinary teams across fields including; Accounting, Finance and Economics, Government and International Relations, Marketing, Employment Relations and Human Resources, Business Strategy and Innovation, and Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management. Our researchers are at the forefront of their disciplines and they are successful at achieving grants and commercial research projects. They offer facilitation to explore complex problems through global and industry leading research practices, specialty research papers, seminars and workshops. Our annual research grants and commercial income continues to exceed expectations and has improved both in quantity and quality of research output. Our new research appointments and awards include; ARC College of Experts Appointment - Prof. Fabrizio Carmignani, Dean (Academic) has been appointed a member of the 2019 ARC College of Experts. The Academy of the Social Sciences Appointment - Prof. Yi-chong Xu from the Centre for Governance and Public Policy, and School of Government and International Relations has been appointed a Fellow with the Academy in 2019. CAUTHE Fellows Award - Dr Sarah Gardiner from the Dept. of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management was awarded the Fellows Award for Excellence in Research by Australasian Universities Tourism and Hospitality Education (Feb 2019 conference). The Business School has Research Centres that include a range of disciplines across; Griffith Asia Institute, Centre for Governance & Public Policy, Centre for Work, Organisation and Wellbeing and Griffith Institute for Tourism. Our Academic Centres strengthen our capabilities & include; Social Marketing @ Griffith, Yunus Social Business Centre, Centre for Sustainable Enterprise, & Centre for Personal Finance & Superannuation.
