Great Lakes Community Action Partnership is a private, 501(c)3 community action agency that provides services in the northwest Ohio region and beyond. Our services include: Early Head Start and Head Start preschool Home repair and weatherization Homeless assistance programs Meals on Wheels Rural community development Senior center programs Utility payment assistance Veterans assistance Workforce training and development And more Prior to our name change in 2018, GLCAP was known as WSOS Community Action Commission. The organization was founded in 1965 with funding from the Economic Opportunity Act under the Lyndon Johnson administration to help move people out of poverty. Throughout the years, we have continued to implement and develop programs that help people address needs and overcome barriers caused by poverty.
