Global Teachers Institute Revenue and Competitors

The mission of the Global Teachers Institute is to strengthen teacher capacity in South Africa and across the world by changing the way we train teachers. GTI aims to empower student teachers, current faculty, school leaders, and education organizations globally by refocusing teacher training and professional development on ideas of consciousness development and social change. \r\n\r\nGTI stems from over ten years of transformative educational work at the LEAP Science and Maths Schools. For the last decade, LEAP Science and Maths Schools has partnered with organizations around the world (including the Buck Institute, Teach with Africa, Stanford University and more) to collaborate in providing teacher training and professional development opportunities in South Africa and abroad. Since 2007, our student teacher training program has trained 10% of each LEAP graduating class. Over 350 participants have attended our professional development summit, and over 60 aspiring and in-service teachers have gone abroad through our USA Internship.\r\n\r\nIn July 2015, we united all these various teacher-training initiatives into the single international platform of the Global Teachers Institute.
