What Is FEMTOPRINT?

FEMTOprint SA is a Swiss hi-tech company specialized in precise 3D microfabrication services for transparent materials. Our core competencies involve the design, development and contract manufacturing of prototypes and serial productions of industrial, custom-designed microdevices in the field of Med-tech, Biomedical, Watchmaking, Fine Mechanics, Photonics, Optics and Electronics. Besides, we develop, assemble and sell our FEMTOPRINT® microfabrication platforms to Academia and Research Institutes across the Globe. Thanks to the novel FEMTOPRINT® technology, we pave the way for Engineers to design freeform microdevices with sub-micron resolution in single monoliths, with high aspect ratio and precision, transparency and finally, reliability at volume production, transforming the way precise microdevices are conceived in the industry. Our fabrication technology is a laser-based manufacturing process, certified ISO 13485:2016. Different glass types can be used as raw materials to structure components, such as, but not limited to, fused silica, borosilicate or alkali-free glass. The minimum feature size range in a few microns, while the maximum working area is currently 300mm in diameter and 10mm in thickness. The capability to integrate microfluidics, mechanics, optics and electronics in challenging and monolithic devices can now be translated into high-performance devices for applications in optical fiber and electronics packaging, ophthalmic and endoscopic surgical tools, point-of-care lab-on-chip, high-end mechanical watches, masters for molding processes, TGV's for semicon, and more.
