What Is Executive Coaches of Orange County (ECofOC)?

Executive Coaches of Orange County (ECofOC) is a 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization that has been supporting the local community since 2002. While a volunteer mentor at SCORE, our founder, Bob Cryer spent his early years guiding individuals who were in the startup phase of setting up a nonprofit. Bob had the vision to create ECofOC with the mission of developing nonprofit leaders and managers through individual coaching. We have no paid staff or office. This enables us to laser focus on our vision and mission. This is truly a grassroots effort! Currently, we have more coaches and over 175 coaching clients from various nonprofit organizations throughout Orange County. Since its inception, ECofOC has served over 360 nonprofits including: Orange County United Way, Make A Wish OC & the Inland Empire, Second Harvest Food Bank of OC, Charitable Ventures, Think Together, Boys and Girls Club of Garden Grove and Girl Scouts of Orange County. The most valuable benefit of coaching is developing a trusting, honest and authentic relationship with a coach where the agenda is all about the client and their leadership development. Our coaching program is free of charge. Clients meets monthly with their coach. The average duration of our coaching engagement is 2.5 years. Our volunteer coaches come from diverse backgrounds that include retired business executives, professional coaches, business and HR consultants and nonprofit leaders. Additionally, our coaches facilitate three Executive Director Forum groups. These 3-hour monthly meetings use a proven process to guide the group to practical solutions for issues brought to the table by each participant. As an added benefit, clients receive 80% off of all seminars and training sessions at OneOC in the form of a scholarship. ECofOC also publishes a blog www.ManagingNonprofits.org and a Resource Guide to maintain awareness of new trends and learning for executive directors. Apply for your coach today at www.ECofOC.org
