Eaton Steel Bar Company Revenue and Competitors

Recently, our board of directors embarked on an $11,000,000 expansion program that includes both the Eaton Steel and Hercules Drawn Steel divisions. A third Detroit area site consisting of 140,000 square feet of warehouse space with five overhead cranes on fourteen acres of land has been acquired. This plant has been fitted with an automated 35-foot high stacking system and auxiliary equipment for bar processing and handling. This site also includes 10,000 square feet of office space. The Livonia plant gains an additional 30,000 square feet of production space. The latest equipment has been installed, giving us the ability to clean, draw, roto test, mag test, cut to length, measure, straighten, chamfer both ends of the bars (if required), bundle, weigh and convey to storage, all in-line. This increases annual production capacity by 50,000 tons. This expansion gives us approximately 550,000 square feet of production and warehouse facilities on forty acres of land. We have the capacity to warehouse 100,000 tons of inventory and ship up to 400,000 tons annually. Eaton Steel is now positioned for long-term growth and profitability, regardless of market conditions.
