Led by Philippe Cousteau Jr., EarthEcho International is a leading non-profit environmental education organization that leverages the power of adventure to reignite STEM education for a new generation. EarthEcho International is a nonprofit 501c3 organization founded in 2000 by siblings Philippe and Alexandra Cousteau in honor of their father Philippe Cousteau Sr., famous son of the legendary explorer Jacques Yves Cousteau. EarthEcho International's mission is to empower youth to take action that restores and protects our water planet. EarthEcho International is committed to inspiring and engaging young people everywhere to be leaders for a bright future. EarthEcho equips today’s youth with relevant tools, interactive resources and timely information to help them take action by identifying and working to solve environmental challenges in their communities. EarthEcho’s resources and programs put the tools of change in the hands of a generation primed and ready to take action. EarthEcho utilizes service-learning – a proven educational model – to helps students identify the root of a problem, develop an action plan and execute that plan in their community. Coupled with rich online resources and a focus on youth and educator outreach and support, EarthEcho engages and empowers young people to become environmental leaders.
