What Is EY TECHNOLOGIES?

EY Technologies is a custom engineering group consisting of a team of talented professionals (chemists, engineers and textile technologists) that are always available to assist you in providing smart solutions to your industrial yarn requirements. Our products are linear composite materials based on natural or man-made fiber substrates, which are usually treated with polymeric systems to enhance the function properties of the yarn, fabric or final product. Our manufacturing methods typically involve a variety of methods to which we apply specialty coatings over yarns. The most common polymer systems used are EVA, Polyamide, Polyester, Polyolefin, Polyurethane, and PVC, TPE and PVDF compounds. Typical fibers used are Aramids (Kevlar, Nomex, Twaron, and Technora), Basalt, Carbon, Fiberglass, Monofilament, Nylon, Polyester, Quartz, Stainless Steel (and other conductive or resistive materials), and Vectran (LCP). The coating levels can range from 10% to 90% depending upon the application and end market requirements. The profiles may be either round or flat in shape. The end markets serviced are automotive, composites industries, electrical equipment, heavy duty construction, mining and agricultural machinery, transportation, telecommunications and paper machine clothing to name a few. Custom designed products can be prepared if there is a specific application to be met. Samples of established products are generally available and are an easy way to begin the evolution of a product that can be optimized to meet your needs.
