What Is EQUALS-EU?
EQUALS-EU: Europe’s Regional Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age aims to create smart, sustainable and inclusive innovation ecosystems by building capacity and expanding networks for women and girls in social innovation and entrepreneurship. For this reason, it brings together a plurality of societal actors and individual citizens as co-innovators and co-designers of the project’s key activities. This approach is a form of participatory social innovation, which creates new opportunities for strategically reforming policy and practice. In pursuit of these objectives, EQUALS-EU is structured around an ambitious work programme based on targeted measures to achieve gender equality combined with strengthened gender mainstreaming efforts. It comprises six work packages (WPs): WP1 - Appraise Gender Equity Social Innovation Ecosystems. Lead beneficiary: Stockholm University. Caroline Wamala Larsson (Program Manager at the University of Stockholm, Head of the Research program at SPIDER) WP2 - Create New Solutions for Gender Equity and Digital Inclusion. Lead beneficiary: Missions Publiques. Antoine Vergne (International Projects Manager at Missions Publiques) WP3 - Transform Gender Inequity into Sustainable Social Impact. Lead beneficiary: GUDC-EU. Anne Igeltjørn (CEO at GUDC-EU). WP4 - Exchange Knowledge and Transfer Technology for Gender Equity. Lead beneficiary: GSMA. Tamara Dancheva (International Relations Manager at GSMA).
