The firm was founded in 1976 by Mr. Gene Reed, who has been a respected member of the Houston construction community since the 1950's. In 1991, Gene asked Terry Early to join the company to spearhead its growth and to diversify its product types. Utilizing his previous experience as CEO and president of two major construction companies, Terry began gathering a group of talented construction professionals with backgrounds in various product types in which he and Gene anticipated growth in the marketplace. This planned growth has rewarded the company with local and national recognition. We are celebrating our tenth consecutive year in the coveted Engineering News Record Top General Contractors. Our $225 million volume has been recognized by the Houston Business Journal, and has qualified E. E. Reed for the eleventh consecutive year as one of the top four general contractors in Houston. Our operations are headquartered in Houston, Texas, with other offices in Austin, Texas, Washington, D. C., San Diego, California.
