Doncasters Group Ltd is a leading international engineering company that manufactures precision components and assemblies for the aerospace, industrial gas turbine, specialist automotive, petrochemical, construction, industrial, transportation and recreation markets. The group excels in working with alloys and metals that are difficult to shape and form. Doncasters has long standing and very close working relationships with all the leading global players in every area of its operations. Clients include Boeing, GE, MTU, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Snecma, Hamilton Sundstrand and Honeywell in aerospace and Ansaldo, Alstom, GE and Siemens in industrial gas turbine technology. In automotive the company is a leading supplier of turbocharger components to BorgWarner, Holset, Honeywell and IHI as well as fasteners and stampings to the likes of General Motors, Volkswagen and Audi. We also supply a range of specialist fasteners, gear components and assemblies to civil, military and commercial customers across the transportation field. Our high strength fasteners are also a favourite with construction companies around the world, featuring on such notable buildings as the Guggenheim in Bilbao and the Petronas Towers in Malaysia. In 2008 the group turnover totalled approximately US$1 billion and continues to grow. The group operates from sites across the UK, continental Europe, the USA, Mexico and China. Lean manufacturing and the use of Six Sigma principles are institutionalised in all of its facilities. The group currently employs around 5,000 staff worldwide. The group prides itself in having a very close working relationship with its customers and has a very focused 'market driven' philosophy. Our extensive use of CAD (Computer Aided Design) has enabled us to find innovative and very cost effective solutions to a very wide variety of extremely demanding applications that was not possible even a few years ago. The products that we manufacture today or are being planned for the future will still be setting 'industry best' standards for many years to come. We think and plan ahead in close collaboration with our client base, develop and manufacture the necessary commercial solution in ever shorter 'time to market' deadlines and, above all else, deliver what is required when it is required.
