What Is DCS Manufacturing?

DCS GROUP UK is the official distributor for P&G, Gillette, Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive, J&J, SC Johnson, Cussons and many more household names. A UK Top 250 privately owned company, founded by Denys C Shortt OBE in 1994, DCS now has annual sales of £230m and employs 320 people. \n\n22 years of relentless growth has pushed DCS to expand in size and this has been facilitated by the recent purchase and move to a 25-acre site in Banbury. \n\nSince it’s naissance the company has sold over £2 billion in health and beauty products including £15m sales of Enliven. Enliven, DCS’ own brand, is produced in house at the DCS Manufacturing site in Stratford-upon-Avon. In addition to this, DCS Manufacturing supplies own brand filling to high street brands such as Next, Wilkinson, Aldi, and Lidl among others. \n\nDenys Shortt also owns Enable Software which provides bespoke software development to a multitude of UK blue-chip companies. Enable owns www.Deal-Track.com which manages rebates and retros.\n\nDenys Shortt, founder and CEO, is a former England hockey player with an unerring enthusiasm for the Midlands region. He served as the former Chairman of the Coventry & Warwickshire LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) and has supported many organisations including the Shakespeare Hospice, Stratford-upon-Avon Football Club, and as Chair of the Stratford Hospital Appeal which has raised over £1m.\n\nCurrently, Denys offers his time and insight as Chair of Enterprise and Innovation called Farm491 at the Royal Agricultural College. \n\nIn recognition of his efforts as LEP Chairman, Denys was awarded an OBE in 2013 for Services to the Economy.
