Established in 1924, DATTCO is a family owned, full service transportation company. We are a diverse company, headquartered in New Britain, Connecticut. The company maintains 19 additional office, terminal, and service facilities throughout the New England states and employs over 1,200 people. DATTCO's operations are divided into three primary divisions: The School Bus Division, the Motor Coach Group, and the Sales & Service Division. DATTCO's School Bus Division provides school transportation and charter services to municipalities, school systems, and other public and private organizations. Serving the largest cities and the smallest towns, DATTCO is one of New England's leading school bus operators. DATTCO has an excellent safety record built on a quality driver training program. DATTCO's drivers prove themselves every day. Our managers and drivers are highly trained in driving skills, student discipline techniques, and the requirements of special needs students. The Motor Coach Group provides travel services for individuals and groups. We serve a diverse range of customers, including: schools, colleges and universities, corporations, international and domestic tour operators, and civic organizations. We provide several distinctly different forms of transportation for charter. The most luxurious is the Experience fleet, which offers amenities that provide the comforts of home, or the productivity of an office, on the road. DATTCO motorcoaches seat 47 to 55 passengers and feature state-of-the-art equipment. The Activity Transport vehicles are a unique cross between a motor coach and a school bus. These vehicles offer amenities like our luxury coaches but at a much lower cost. The Motor Coach Group also provides transit, para-transit, and shuttle services to colleges, universities, and major corporations, as well as other scheduled services like commuter transportation and casino line runs. The Tour department enhances the transportation services by providing tickets to shows and sporting events, hotel accommodations, guided tours and other attractions. These services are provided to pre-formed groups in the form of tour packages. DATTCO's Sales & Service division is the premier supplier of IC-Corporation school buses, Mid Bus, and the Turtle Top line of commercial shuttle buses for all of New England. IC-Corporation is a division of International Truck & Engine group and is the largest manufacturer of school buses in the United States. In addition to sales of new and used buses, the division provides complete maintenance and body repair services, as well as parts sales and delivery services. Maintenance services include wheelchair retrofit and lift installation, frame repair, rebuild service, air conditioning service, and fleet maintenance.
