5 Star Meals ... in a Box? Our weekly menu comes out on Wednesdays and represents the freshest ingredients of the season. Always local, always sustainable, and organic whenever possible. Our mission is to make delicious meals with low salt, low saturated fats and no preservatives or chemicals. Chef Jona and his wife Erin started Cooked in 2014 in order to share their love of healthy, nourishing food with busy folks everywhere. Our kitchen is run by Chef Jona Silva, whose experiences in restaurants and cooking have taken him from Mexico to Montréal to Morocco and finally, to Chicago. After 15 years of travel, culinary school and cooking under great mentors, Jona's interest in healthy, clean cooking took him to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY where he became a Certified Chef in 2009.
