CompuNet Clinical Laboratories was formed on January 1, 1986 under a joint venture between International Clinical Laboratories (ICL), Fidelity Prescriptions and Complete Home Care, Inc., and Valley Pathologists, Inc. ICL was later acquired by SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories (SBCL) in 1988. SBCL was subsequently acquired by Quest Diagnostics in 1999. MVH Enterprises, formerly Fidelity Prescriptions and Complete Home Care, Inc., is a for-profit subsidiary of MedAmerica Health System Corporation (the parent company of Miami Valley Hospital). Valley Pathologists, Inc. is a pathology group practice providing medical directorship to both CompuNet and Miami Valley Hospital.
