Compassion UK is a Christian child development charity. Compassion partners with local churches in poor communities to seek out some of the world's most vulnerable children in 25 developing countries. We believe the most strategic way to fighting poverty is to connect caring sponsors with children in need in a one-to-one relationship, and equip the local church to help children break free from the cycle of poverty. Our mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus name. Over 100,000 children are today benefiting from the support and encouragement of UK Compassion's sponsors. And around the world, there are more than 1.8 million children actively participating in Compassion projects. Compassion is a Christ-centred organisation committed to the Church.
