About\r\n\r\nCommunity Futures Central Kootenay is a not-for-profit economic development organization. We are commited to helping people in the Central Kootenay region who are currently operating or are about to start their own business.\r\n\r\nMission\r\n\r\nOur mission is to facilitate and/or promote activities which will enhance the economic environment of our communities through entrepreneurial development and the creation of small business initiatives.\r\n\r\nGeneral Information\r\n\r\nWe aim to:\r\n- assist existing and new small businesses in the Central Kootenay region with training, loans, counselling and resources\r\n- provide income support for eligible individuals contemplating self-employment as a career option\r\n- bring together key community partners and the region as a whole to work toward the common goal of sustainable community economic development
