What Is Commercial Sewing?

Commercial Sewing was founded in 1967, by Sam Mazzarelli, as a small auto-trim sewing shop. Very early the company began filling winter slow times by producing canvas snowmobile covers for area dealers. Its reputation for making strong, quality, reasonably priced custom fit covers - spread quickly. In the seventies, dealer sales increased so rapidly that Commercial Sewing began producing snowmobile covers year round. Service to dealers was soon replaced by volume sales to distributors and eventually the OEM manufacturers. Commercial Sewing was also asked to develop and produce other sewn accessories for snowmobiles, motorcycles; and later ATVs and personal watercraft. Commercial Sewing is a diverse production sewing company. Throughout the years, it has engineered and produced many products outside the power sports industry, including: , Military - Bags; Body Armor , Airline/Train - Seat Covers; Fire Block , Automotive transportation , Tents; Handbags; Luggage , Contract sewing projects (1,000 - 100,000 units per) More recently, it has expanded into the Marine industry; developing shipping covers, mooring covers, bimini tops and other fine marine products.
