What Is Colonial Leisure Group?

Colonial Leisure Group (CLG) is a premium operator in the Australian hospitality industry with a diverse range of venues, each with their own unique flavour. Established in 2008 with the purchase of the Margaret River craft brewery Colonial Brewing Co., CLG now spans across five states and includes iconic pubs, hotels, restaurants, accommodation, brewing, entertainment and tourism assets. CLG is notable for having developed a wide mix of different styles of venue, each with their own unique identity. There are those that cater to the student crowd; local pubs in upmarket suburbs; sophisticated drinking and dining spots; and destination pubs with waterfront locations. Whatever the niche, CLG venues pride themselves on delivering rewarding drinking and dining experiences for their clientele. CLG venues have won a number of industry awards for their leading wine programs, inspired menu design, accomplished brewing and thoughtful venue development. Our reputation is being built on our passion and by having a shared vision across the company for the achievement of business excellence in the supply of food & beverage and other related activities. As a large employer and nationally operating business, it is important to strive to operate sustainably and CLG has some great initiatives in place that help achieve those goals. CLG's own a farms in Mornington Peninsula supplying selected meats and produce to our Victorian venues, and a Closed Loop compost system means food waste from the restaurants can be turned into compost and returned to the farms.
