What Is Coastline Housing?

Based in the heart of Cornwall, Coastline Housing is an independent not-for-profit housing association which owns and manages over 4,500 homes. Together with subsidiary Coastline Services we employ more than 250 people, jointly holding Investors In People Silver.\n\nThe company’s purpose is to build great homes and offer great services provided by great people.\n\nThe challenge faced by Coastline Housing is enormous. At 11.2 times average earnings in many areas of Cornwall, high house price rises have excluded many people from owning their own home. Thousands of families have registered for affordable rented housing in the county and many more are known to be in need.\n\nWith a growing annual turnover - currently £24 million - Coastline Housing’s contribution to solving this problem and improving people’s lives continues to increase.\n\nCoastline Housing has secured over £30m of grant funding from the Homes and Communities Agency and over £5 million from Cornwall Council to develop more than 1,000 new homes in Cornwall over the period from 2015 to 2021.\n\nWe continue to be on the lookout for development sites in the county where more affordable housing could help transform and grow local communities.
